Re: EDK 2.0.0 RC1 development

I think I've got a working solution, just want to leave it running for a day or so just to test I haven't missed anything, then I'll upload to this thread for you to add to SVN

Re: EDK 2.0.0 RC1 development

It would be great if in the next version you found another way to only build the kills that will be posted, though. Otherwise it usually times out on most shared hosting. Sure, you just have to ask and I will look into required changes. The timer problem is to do with missing elements when skipping...

Re: EDK 2.0.0 RC1 development

Updated to rev 399 last night and discovered changes to class.eveapi.php are breaking some of it's functions. Specifically API error detection (it always prints an error even when there isn't one) and it's unable to store cache timers for the killlog.xml Reverted to my own last version (V3.3) and ad...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

It's the same as re-adding each API kill but with less work for the DB on average. The quick version is to just re-add. It's not just for the sake of faked killmails. There's a great many bugged mails, too. An API verification could reduced the amount of both types of erroneous kills in EDK DBs. Tr...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

Do you really think all that's necessary? It's a lot of effort to close down what's really a narrow and limited opportunity to introduce a fake killmail, iirc victim is checked and shiptype so it's really only aggressors and items that can be manipulated. In the meantime, I've played around and adde...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

That's not actually verifying the mail, though. It's just verifying that the victim died in the right system at the right time and who the final blow pilot was. If verification is to be authoritative it needs to be more comprehensive. If we only check kills without an API ID then the extra queries ...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

4) Readd known mails from API (do we do this already) if kill is not imported from api already. Psuedo:
foreach kill in apifeed if(kill.exists && not kill.verified) continue; elseif(kill.exists) delete kill add kill; end
Rather than readd, the API currently checks them off as verifi...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

Ok, from my point of view... kb3_kills I can do now... kb3_log I basically need to wait until the killboard base side of things has been fixed up so that table can be used without people who haven't upgraded their base killboard revision yet being fucked over completely by v3.3 of API Mod that wants...

Re: Possible changes to DB structure

 This was your idea and your original suggested changes to the tables. The log is a bad place to put external Killid's. It's not fit for purpose, it's a table meant purely for admins to see when and where mails were posted from as basic security. Checking for validated kills eg, Feeds should ...
