Post by SnakeTheBest » Sat Dec 02, 2017 12:13

hi,

i just started to host my EDK on my own home made server, and actually is half working i supose i still have something missing for install, so im making this post with the hope to get the full list of things to install on server side.

question is:

what is needed to be installed and running on server side to be able to host an EDK KB properly with all working ??

- Webserver (Apache, IIS)
- PHP 5.2+
- Mysql 5+ with ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY off
- GD 2 or higher

anything else??

Hi,

your PHP installation needs cURL and SSL support.
But that's about it.

Maybe if you could be a bit more specific as to what is not working, we could get you more specific help ;)

well most expensive mod at the start of the web is not working, error logs get updated when i open the main page with this.

Code: Select all

2017-12-02 22:42:51 8192: Non-static method serverstatus::display() should not be called statically in "kb host route"/common/includes/class.pageassembly.php on line 80

here is the line 80 of that file

76	// static calls
77		if (strpos($callback, '::')) {
78			$cb = explode('::', $callback);
79			if (is_callable($cb)) {
80				return call_user_func_array($cb, array(&$this));
81			}
82			return false;
83		}

and the next pages on the admin return a white screen when i click them
item value fetching
API kill log fetch
zkb fetch
troubleshooting

and by white screen i mean literally a white colored page with no error messages at all so i have no idea of whats missing.

also the automatic process like cron jobs are not working at all, since i restored the last kill still being on 23th april no updates at all

right now im going to try some remote admin on my server to check if there is SSL and cURL running on the server, but help is apreciated

thanks you bro

Hi,
the "non-static method" error with the server status mod is due to incompatibility of that mod with PHP7.

The rest of the behavior you describe sounds like PHP throwing a fatal error on these pages, but there should still be entries in the error logs about that.
These are what I need to find out more.
