KB not track our corp kill/loss

Post by Hazard-H42 » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:52

Hello and thanks for this software, it's very beatiful.

I installed it on my webspace without problems but it not track kill or loss for my corporation. I start to fetch from zKill (from 2013) and it work fine and the work is in progress, but live kill/loss are not present. Why?

The board is: http://globalisk.it/kb

All the requirements are ok, in Troubleshooting section all is green. I see only 1 strange thing when run a File Verification, i get this:

Code: Select all

Checked 909 files.

Hi,

I had a look at your killboard. As you said, zKBFetch is set up and working, and you started in 2013. If that's the only thing you've set up, you'll have to wait until it worked its way to the present (or add an additional zKBFetch config for your corp, with a today as a start date, until the first one hast caught up with the present).

Best Regards,

mmhh ok i'm trying, but i have one question at this point: after installation of EDK, for some hours, my corp members get kill and loss, but the killboard not show that also after 10-20 minutes. At this point i start to fetch from zkillboard. Then, if i not start to fetch from zkill, my KB not track any kill/loss? or i have to perform just 1 fetch with last kill/loss to see EDK working in real time?

Why you said that one solution is to set a fetch for my corp? I already put all info that EDK ask to me in installation phase to track my corp activity.

Thanks!

Hi,

during installation, you set up the killboard owners, that's true.
But for the killboard to fetch kills/losses, additional information is required, either in zKBFetch, API or IDFeed.
There are three possible sources for the killboard to fetch kills: From zKillboard (zKBFetch), from the CCP API (requires input of corporation level API Keys) or IDFeed (fetch from other EDK installations).
Installing the killboard alone will not automatically set up any of these options.
I think the most common variants may be a combination of corporation API Keys and zKillboard fetch.
For the killboard to do anything automatically, cron jobs need to be set up. They are located in the cron folder of your killboard installation. What each cronjob does and recommended execution frequencies can be found in the readme file in the cron folder.
If you want to quickly populate your killboard with your corp's history fetched from zKillboard, you can use a higher execution frequency for the zKBFetch cronjob (e.g. every 5 minutes).

Best Regards,
Salvoxia

lol.. my hosting provide me with only 1 scheduled task with minimun 30 minutes of time. I solve it by make a macro on my mouse that click refresh button on my browser every 3 minutes pointed to cron.php url

History kill/loss task is done.. the sad thing is that my KB refresh every 30 minutes... very sad, fuck hosting.

Thanks ;)
