Excessive inode usage with SQL cache

Post by kellyl » Wed Nov 23, 2011 11:42

Hi All,

My dedicated server fell over yesterday as I had run out of inodes.

I tracked down this usage to the EDK cache/SQL folder. After deleting the cache manually, i went down to 50% inode usage.

Just a heads up, in case anyone runs into a similar situation. I had SQL cache turned on for two killboards, and in 4 months the cache wasn't automatically cleared once (does it automatically clear it at all?).

I have turned SQL caching off now, as I do not want this to happen again.

Thanks,

K

There is a cronjob you can run to clear the cache (or set up with AJCron).

cron/cron_clearup.php
