Pie Chart for Campaigns and Contracts

Please note, this is a MODIFIED from the original code version to show a different example of what was possible. Following the tutorial will only modify the basic bar to a pie chart in the original table format.

I decided when I started writing this series, that I would try to show some of the cooler things that you can do with thr CSS and the templating system to make the EDK your own. This part of the series is aimed to do that. it is in itself just a guide to what can be done, and is free to be copied and used, but do not distribute it. Since it is modifing files, it would be classed as a Hack rather than a mod, so follow the rules in article1, and back everything up before you start.

So, what does this hack do exactly. Well it replaces the bar that is used in the campaigns and contracts section with a pie chart to represent the way things are going. I decided on a pie chart because it's a bit trickier, show it lets you get a better understanding of what I am doing, but it again is just an example.

Your test-killboard is pretty sexy, but slow loading for some reason.

I just wish someone would get rid of the table-structure so it all was CSS already.

I am doing the conversion to pure CSS (as pure as I can anyway) atm.

Also FISK, my site is hosted in Australia, so it's possible it's the speed from all over. Plus I am loading alot on the page now too.

While I think about it, you can use this setup for almost any kind of graphical display of the standings. Use different colored icons, or different smiley faces etc...

I might do a few up tonight for folk to look at.

Would you be able to do a tutorial on how to make all the bars have a gradient from red to green (or visa versa depending on the persons preference). So for instance;

With the campaign at 0% it is red but at 100% it is green

With top killer of the week the person with most kills would have a green bar yet others below the top would have various colour dependant on how many kills they are behind?

It would certainly add another type of visual reference for those that CBA to read

aye yeah and it looks leet also so does the rounded portraits I have seen this feature pop up all over the net and would be great to have this added to the KB too, warbear could you PM me with costs for these 2 to be added to my killboard and ill PM you back the FTP details and send the iskies to ya
