I skimmed the thread but didn't see an answer to this: Is there going to be public board support going forward? IE no assigned pilot/corp/alliance to the board and the board can simply display killmails that have been submitted.

Hi,

in this regard, nothing will change to the current state. ESI support just means that any and all information about EVE entities are fetched using ESI instead of CREST or the XML API.
The API import got replaced by the single-sign-on registration for ESI fetch, but that's it.
If you like to set up your killboard without any owners and post kills using external links only - that's fine.
If you additionally choose to fetch kills for some specific entities from zKB, that's fine, too.

If you already have your killboard set up that way and update - nothing should really change for you.

However, due to very limited test response, you have to expect problems here and there in the beginning.

Hi,

the installation/update process does not change.
If there are any errors, these of course will be addressed as you report them.
If you need help setting up the board for ESI SSO, and the how-to thread is not helpful, I'll offer to help in any way I can :)

Great thanks for the verification.

I will try to find time to clone one of the boards and install 4.3 over it to see what breaks

I've installed from fresh a test board and pointed it to a copy of the database from a live board. That worked, posting works and that's the core. A lot of my mods worked, I guess there is no more server status but that is more of a frill anyway.
Some of my hard coded hacks don't work yet like value columns mod, but haven't tried modifying that. And one of my hacked stats pages doesn't work at all and I can't seem to figure it out (all time stats hacked from a corp_detail), I'll post about that in the mod area.

So overall I'd call it working for me. Thanks.
