[100mil] KB theme customization

Post by kalstrams »

Hey guys,

I want to buy a theme for KB that is based off my forums - I mean so they're kind of uniform.
I know there is mostly a CSS job, yet I have not enough time to learn CSS and to remember all the web coding stuff.
Price, as guys here sell their incredible themes for 150+ mil, is 100 mil, because you do not have to build from scratch.
SMF - 2.0.2 ; EDK4; Write in-game to Kalstrams. Offer active until 00:01 5th June. EVE time.
I pay first who mails/convoes me with a satisfying result.

Killboard : http://kb.b-ally.net - active theme - default
Forum : http://forum.b-ally.net - active theme - inferno

Cheers.

I don't mind helping you, but some alliances like that their kb is unique to them, if Zagdul (FA kb) isn't bothered about it, convo me when im online. As for the price though it depends what you mean by not from scratch? Most of the work for a theme goes into the css not the index file.

Not from scratch I mean that there is (somewhat) an example what it should like. As for FA killboard, they have their own design, which is not what I need. I just want my alliance's killboard to look like our forums, colour-wise, and I think that it is somewhat different than ripping off their design.

Or do you mean about all the design because of the index.tpl I got linked to in the SMF topic ?

As for the originality, you can see that topic below he provided me with index.tpl file for the design, as it seems my forum uses template same as theirs ( or he the author of it ), and said that some CSS modification is needed. So I guess he is generous and does not minds me using similar scheme.

Ok, well i started on the theme and so far looks good. Its just the small things now that need to be done and some things changed to match the style - What it looks like right now.

I did it with a fresh default index.tpl and will look at doing the rest later today or tomorrow.

Basically...

You now need to do find/replace on some colors to get it to match how you want it to. The tables used in the EDK kb need to be adjusted now. You can copy your default.css and call it inferno.css.

Most of the work is already done, now it's the tweaking that you need to do in order to make it look how you want it. If I were to do it, 100m wouldn't cover the effort that goes into tweaking a stylesheet. That takes hours and sometimes days to sit there and get it to exactly how you like it.

The challenging part is done, the tedious part has started and I hate messing with other people's sites as they may not appreciate my view on how it should look.

The price is decided by the one who makes, so I will pay anything around reasonable.

As of the design - people are different. But if you want my opinion, then I can say, that I am good with any design that is near of wanted, because, despite my above the average level of knowledge, I am el terrible when things come to graphics and design.

I appreciate your help a lot, guys.

Vec, can you please add, somewhere in visible place, that the original theme is by Zagdul and the actual one was customised by you ? I prefer all copyright related stuff to be set as it must be.

Cheers,
kalstrams.

P.S. Once again, great thank you guys for taking this on and helping me.
P.P.S. By the way, Vec, the example you have showed is astonishing already.

The theme is done, i spent a few hours last night and today doing it. You're right 100m is no where near what i would ask for when doing custom or made to order killboard themes. I sell most of my themes for 150-250 and they aren't exclusive to anyone 1 buyer (they are resold).

However, I'll release the theme for free and you can all do as you like with it, like my other themes. I was going to put up one more free theme anyway might aswell be this one. I'll post it on my themes topic.

Although if you want to still send isk i won't say no (im internet spaceship poor).
